The bus roared down the road. Inside, the passengers were rocking from side to side.

Up ahead, the traffic light turned yellow and the bus driver stepped on the brakes quickly.

Surprised, the standing passengers were thrown forward, knocking against each other.

“What do you think you’re doing?” shouted an angry man.

“It’s not my fault, you know,” the bus driver replied. “The light changed suddenly.”

The passengers did not want to say anything to the driver. They just wanted to get to work quickly.

Just then, a little girl’s voice came from somewhere in the bus.

“Thank you for driving carefully, bus driver.”

Everyone turned to see who said that, but just then, the traffic light turned green. With a loud roar, the bus charged down the road again. Everyone groaned loudly. The bus driver merely laughed loudly. He then tooted his horn several times at the passing vehicles.
