Goodies wrapped in exquisite wrappers, goodies that came with free gifts, and goodies that were sold at a fraction of their usual price.

Pandemonium broke loose the moment the store opened. It was a totally different sight a minute ago when shoppers were standing quietly in a snaking long queue. The queue, which had already formed before the break of d awn, had been growing steadily with time. Excitement and anticipation had long been building up as time crawled by.

Polite conversations turned into ugly shouts as the shutters of the store were lifted. A flood of shoppers burst into the store in an animal - like stampede, with much pushing and shoving. The evolutionary survival instinct long suppressed emerged triumphant.
