Little Anna ’s eyes bulged with glee. She had never seen so many wonderful rides before. She felt like a little imp amongst these gigantic rides.
There were biking boats, merry-go-rounds, bumper cars and ‘choo-choo’ trains in the park. Anna was clearly excited. She walked around, filled with wonder and hardly daring to breathe.
“Ride me! Ride me!” they all seemed to call out to her. Anna touched the beautiful carved horse. It was creamy white and stood majestically on a pedestal. It was adorned with the most intricate saddle. How she longed to place herself on that saddle!
Anna could imagine herself, riding like the wind, on Snowy. She had christened the horse ‘Snowy’ and longed to have a go on it. Anna gave the horse a loving pat and decided to ask her mother for a ride.
“Mummy! May I ride on this horse, please?” There was no response from Mummy and Anna grew impatient.
She twirled around, only to realise that she was lost.
